2012 OLYMPIC BOXER, GREAT BRITAIN
GREAT BRITAIN'S BOXING DREAM TEAM: By Brian Zelley
*As we follow the British boxers from the pre-Olympics,
some of the old faces from the 2010 Commonwealth Games would be part of
the team including the
team Captain
Thomas Stalker who was
the 2010 lightweight gold
medal winner from England. But this time
Stalker would be in the light-welterweight division. Silver medalist
Josh Taylor of Scotland would remain in the lightweight division.
Two of the Welsh boxers on Team Great Britian were also in the
2010 Commonwealth Games: Flyweight: Andrew Selby
and Welterweight: Freddie Evans . Other men boxers would include
Anthony Ogogo (middlewight) ** Anthony Joshua (Super Heavy)
and lightweight boxer from Hull, Luke Campbell.
Then a new event for the London Olympics was women's boxing.
The three women boxers would be
Nicola Adams, Natasha Jonas and Savannah Marshall.
Savannah Marshall, Middleweight

(a BBC file photo)
Introduction
The recent announcement of the death of former heavyweight
